VibeGetting started
Vibe requires macOS 15 or later. The installer includes the app and the vibe CLI. Open Vibe in your menu bar to preview a sound. To respond to keys in other apps, allow Vibe in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Input Monitoring.
Sound & ambience
Keyboard sound and ambience have independent controls. Import WAV, AIFF, M4A, MP3 or CAF clips up to two seconds each. Folders may contain up to 128 clips and 100 MB. Live monitoring requires microphone permission; headphones are recommended.
Desktop companions
Show your companion from the app’s character settings. Codex v2 folders and ZIP packages contain pet.json and a compatible sprite atlas. Import reads assets only and never executes scripts. Hiding the companion stops its desktop animation and speech.
CLI & your Agent
The CLI and app share one local runtime. Discover commands with vibe capabilities --json and connection instructions with vibe agent guide --json. Local data access requires your authorization. Cloud chat alone cannot control your Mac.

Browsing and downloading do not require an account. Email login enables support, session management and access to issued licenses. Login does not sync local tasks or model keys. Purchases are not available yet. Accounts without a license show Local Explorer.
